High-intent leads describe their exact problem on Reddit and LinkedIn, and almost none of them will ever fill out your contact form. Marketers call that stretch the dark funnel, the stretch where a buyer researches a problem with zero contact from sales. This post gives you a 3-step workflow that works inside it, built on one tool, Sensorhub.

TLDR

Step 1. Monitor: a ranked feed of live threads replaces manual Reddit and LinkedIn searches.
Step 2. Triage: every thread becomes one row in a 5-column sheet, and low-fit threads get skipped.
Step 3. Engage: you edit a draft reply and post one answer that helps before any pitch.
Sensorhub drafts replies and never posts them, so the last copy step stays yours.
The system behind the workflow, scoring and guardrails, lives in Social Listening for Demand Capture.

A Form Waits for Buyers, and a Ranked Inbox Finds the Ones Already Asking

Take a security company that sells cloud protection. Its buyers ask "CNAPP alternatives after vendor acquisition" on Reddit weeks before any vendor hears from them. CNAPP means cloud-native application protection platform.

A form waits for the buyer, and a ranked inbox finds the buyer already asking.

Without a listening workflow, that question sits unread while the form stays empty. With one, the question reaches a ranked inbox the same day. You log it in a sheet and answer it with something useful.

Example. I ran this setup for AccuKnox, a cybersecurity company. Sensorhub watches about 1,700 conversations a day across Reddit, X and LinkedIn for it. That is the count of conversations the tool scans, and only a small share earns a reply.

The three steps below are the whole loop.

Monitor finds the thread, Triage decides if it deserves time, Engage answers it with help.

Step 1. Monitor the Threads Where Buyers Ask

Monitoring means one feed instead of three tabs. Sensorhub watches Reddit, X and LinkedIn and ranks conversations by how well they fit your ideal customer profile (ICP). An ICP is the type of company you sell to.

I feed it the problems my product solves and the competitors buyers name. The feed then lists threads such as:

"CNAPP alternatives after vendor acquisition"
"Best ASPM tools" (application security posture management)
"What do AI vulnerability scanners do wrong?"

Check Sensorhub's own page before you buy. On 2026-10-13 it listed a Basic plan at $59 a month that covers Reddit only, and a Pro plan at $129 a month that adds X and LinkedIn. It also listed a 7-day trial with no card.

Your buyers may live on one subreddit. This list of startup subreddits shows where to look first.

Tip. Start with the one platform where your buyers already ask questions, then add the others.

Step 2. Triage Each Thread Into One Sheet Row

A ranked feed still holds more threads than you can answer. A sheet turns the feed into a decision. Log every thread you open in five columns.

Five columns decide which thread gets your time and which gets skipped.

Sort by ICP fit first. Reply to the high-fit threads today and mark the rest skipped. A thread where someone names a competitor they want to leave outranks one that asks a general category question.

When twenty rows show the same complaint, that complaint is your next blog post. The threads set the content calendar. One builder runs an agent every 4 hours that scrapes X, Hacker News, LinkedIn and Reddit and suggests which posts to write.

Rule of thumb. A thread with no ICP fit earns a skip, however well it ranks.

Step 3. Reply With Help Before You Pitch

Sensorhub drafts a platform-native reply for each thread. It never posts, so you copy each reply into Reddit, LinkedIn or X by hand. I edit every line before it goes out so the voice stays mine. The copy step does not shrink as the thread count grows, so triage keeps the daily count small.

A good reply does three things:

It answers the exact gap the person named.
It adds a fact, a diagram or a working step.
It leaves the pitch out.

I watch 70 LinkedIn profiles a week for the one post I can answer with something real, which is the same rule on another platform.

Watch out. Do not post the same reply on ten threads. Reddit flags repeated text, and buyers notice it.

A reply on Reddit or LinkedIn earns traffic the day you post it. It also stays as a timestamped public record that search and AI tools can read later.

The Stack Behind This Workflow Is on My Site

Sensorhub sits next to two other tools in the AccuKnox stack, which the AccuKnox case study describes in full. The tools page lists SensorHub with the other tools I use.

The AccuKnox case study on atharvashah.com describes the marketing stack the team runs itself.

Four Questions Marketers Ask About This Workflow

Do I need a paid tool to start? No. You can search Reddit by hand and fill the same 5-column sheet. A tool saves the searching time, and the sheet and the reply rule do the real work.

How many replies a day is enough? One good reply beats ten weak ones. Pick a number you can edit by hand and keep it steady.

Will buyers see the reply as spam? Not when the reply answers their question and carries no pitch. A reply that leads with your product reads as an ad.

Where does this fit with the rest of my funnel? It fills the top, with buyers who already named the problem. The 2026 marketing stack shows the tools that sit around it.

The Appendix Holds the Sheet and the Reply Skeleton

The sheet headers, ready to paste into a spreadsheet:

Signal type | Source | ICP fit | Date flagged | Status

A reply skeleton to edit for every thread:

1. Name the gap they described, in their words.
2. Give one fact, step or diagram that closes the gap.
3. Stop. Leave the pitch out.
